Estate Rums
Result of a double distillation in a pot still, we present “Des Champs d’Exploration,” a range that immediately introduces you to two categories of rum. A pure cane juice rum “Rhum Agricole” and a syrup rum “Rhum Traditionnel”, both made exclusively from raw materials grown on the plantation.
“Sur nos Pistes” 50.3%: Rhum Agricole from La Réunion Island whose juice is extracted directly from the estate’s sugarcane press. This white rum made from fresh juice is surprisingly fruity and very light. An irresistible call to explore.
“En Amplitudes” 43.6%: this traditional rum from Réunion is the result of fermenting sugarcan syrup rather than molasses. A concentrated sweetness, one of a kind in Europe.

Sugar Shack
Galabé, a local sugar from Réunion Island
This unrefined cane sugar, with its rich flavor and surprising texture—made by boiling down cane juice—had disappeared before we revived this noble product of Réunion’s history.
Galabé is like gold in your mouth
Bel Air

A Land of Expression
At the Bel Air plantation in northern Réunion, where our family has been based and growing sugarcane for over a century, our work is guided by a spirit of creativity and experimentation. We strive to reveal the richness of sugarcane juice by showcasing it in all its forms, while honoring the expertise and values passed down by previous generations.

On vacation on the “Intense Island”?
Located in the heart of the sugarcane fields at the Domaine de Bel Air, the Sugar Shack and Distillery is open to the public Monday through Saturday. Through a guided tour that highlights the history of the site and the various stages of sugarcane harvesting and processing, you’ll discover the craftsmanship behind our production and the unique flavors of Galabé and our rums. There are two tour departures per day: 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
To know how to be amazed, to let oneself be surprised, to explore ceaselessly, to accept no obstacles to the freedom to create, to not pretend to express, to dare to reveal.
